Kilimanjaro Live to operate under new umbrella company KMJ Entertainment

Promoter Kilimanjaro Live has rebranded, with its 16 brands to operate under a new umbrella company, KMJ Entertainment.

Owned by Germany’s DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG, KMJ Entertainment’s businesses will continue to “deliver a wide range of events, promoting and producing music tours, in-conversation shows, theatrical productions, comedy and family attractions”.

Kilimanjaro Live has witnessed major growth since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has expanded into the likes of ticketing, festivals, spoken word events, comedy, immersive experiences and more.

Last year, Kilimanjaro opened a new office in Wales to expand DEAG’s presence throughout the UK.

“Expansion became a natural and healthy evolution for Kilimanjaro Live as we stepped out of the pandemic and into a new landscape of live entertainment,” said Stuart Galbraith, chief executive of KMJ Entertainment.

Galbraith founded Kilimanjaro in 2008. Brands that will operate under the KMJ Entertainment umbrella include promoters Kilimanjaro Live, Regular Music, FORM and Singular Artists; spoken word’s Fane and How To Academy; theatre companies Flying Music and JAS Theatricals; ticket companies Gigantic, Myticket and; festivals Belladrum Tartan Heart, Let’s Rock and Pennfest; exhibition venue Arches at London Bridge; and production company Kontour.

Galbraith added: “Kilimanjaro Live was originally formed to provide the best live rock and pop entertainment across the UK, but as a group, we’ve now expanded into new areas and needed an umbrella name that represents and supports our growing family of companies across the live entertainment world.

“I’m very proud to see our evolution into KMJ Entertainment, with the support of our parent company, DEAG.”

KMJ believes it will sell up to four million tickets per year across its portfolio.
