Quirky new appointment hopes to put Liverpool on the SEO map – Prolific North

Liverpool’s Quirky Digital has welcomed a new head of SEO to its senior team.

Rachel Walton, whose previous roles include head of SEO at Castle International and senior organic performance manager at Manchester’s Wavemaker, was “headhunted” by agency founder Liam Quirk after, he said, establishing herself as one of the leading SEOs in Liverpool, working alongside other members of Quirky Digital’s SEO team in other roles.

She brings a wealth of experience working with local, national and international clients and her role will include key responsibilities such as leading organic SEO projects from conception to completion, with an emphasis on technical SEO and on-page optimisation as well as working alongside directors to manage, train and grow the SEO team.

Quirk said: “Rachel is a significant hire to help us accelerate our organic SEO offering and take our internal processes to the next level. She shares our vision of wanting to build an SEO agency in Liverpool that can compete with the known agencies across other cities in the UK. I’m excited to have Rachel join the team and to see the impact she has on both our clients and colleagues.”

Walton added: “I’m excited to become part of a team brimming with enthusiasm to establish a new standard for SEO agencies in Liverpool. The team is motivated, receptive, and talented, so I have no doubts that we will achieve that.

“I look forward to contributing to our agency’s remarkable growth and expanding the limited senior-level SEO opportunities available locally. For too long, many talented SEO professionals in our city have had to seek opportunities further afield, and I’m excited to be part of changing that narrative.”

Quirky Digital specialises in providing Digital PR, Content Creation and Technical SEO across various industries including healthcare, professional services, SAAS, investment, real estate, addiction and eCommerce. Founded in 2020, the company now has over 50 clients with a growing team of 14 working from the Liverpool office.
