‘Now Assist to be Integrated with Microsoft Copilot’

ServiceNow and Microsoft recently announced the integration of their AI bots, ServiceNow Now Assist and Microsoft Copilot, at ServiceNow’s Knowledge 2024 event. This collaboration is part of ServiceNow’s ongoing effort to partner with various enterprise software companies, such as Microsoft and SAP, in order to enhance their services.

The updated strategic alliance between ServiceNow and Microsoft aims to combine the capabilities of their generative AI assistants to provide a seamless user experience. The integrated AI functionality is set to be available in the Fall.

The integration will allow ServiceNow’s Now Assist and its workflows to work alongside Microsoft Copilot, enabling users to execute productivity tasks across multiple applications. CJ Desai, president and chief operating officer at ServiceNow, emphasized the importance of collaboration among large enterprise players to better serve customers. The goal of this integration is to minimize the need for users to switch between different applications, enhancing overall efficiency.

In addition, ServiceNow’s assistants will now be accessible within Microsoft 365, allowing for a more streamlined workflow. Copilot will also have the ability to pass off employee requests to Now Assist directly from Microsoft Teams, further simplifying the user experience.

Moving forward, employees will be able to utilize Copilot in Microsoft 365 applications from ServiceNow to generate documents based on prompts from ServiceNow.

ServiceNow has also made enhancements to its Contract Management Pro, Security Operations, and Field Service Management applications by incorporating AI-enabled collaboration and process tools. The company has additionally announced an integration of IBM’s watsonx and Now Assist.

This partnership between ServiceNow and Microsoft signifies a step towards greater collaboration and innovation within the realm of AI-driven solutions for enterprise businesses.
