Advisory firm grows Scottish team with new senior hire

Quantuma, a cross-border advisory firm, has recently appointed Brian Milne as a managing director in its Scottish practice. With a wealth of experience in corporate and personal insolvency, restructuring, and advisory work, Brian will be based in Glasgow but will also work out of the Edinburgh office.

Brian comes to Quantuma from a national accounting practice where he led the restructuring and debt advisory division. Prior to this role, he held senior positions in the restructuring departments of two Big 4 accounting firms. Recently, Brian served as Administrator for a company that owned an 18th-century Scottish castle and as Liquidator for an international high-end fashion retailer.

His appointment further strengthens Quantuma’s Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Scotland, following the addition of Craig Morrison as a managing director in the firm’s Edinburgh office in 2023. The increasing demand for services amid economic uncertainty in Scotland highlights the need for experienced professionals like Brian to support businesses in challenging times.

In a statement, Brian expressed his excitement about joining Quantuma and contributing to the firm’s growth plans. He looks forward to collaborating with the existing team, including managing directors Ian Wright, Craig Morrison, and Scott Milne, to enhance the services offered in Scotland.

Ian Wright, managing director and lead for Quantuma’s Glasgow office, welcomed Brian to the team and emphasized the firm’s commitment to serving Scottish businesses and their stakeholders with top-tier expertise. With Scotland being a key focus area for Quantuma, Brian’s appointment reflects the company’s dedication to providing high-quality advisory services in the region.
