New president appointed at O’Connor Connective

O’Connor Connective, a strategic communications and consulting firm serving companies and nonprofits, has appointed Nina Nolan Rouse as its new president, effective July 8. This move allows the firm’s founder and CEO, Bridget O’Connor, to concentrate on client strategy and business expansion as the organization broadens its services.

Rouse brings with her 17 years of experience from St. Norbert College, where she held various positions, including director of communications and marketing. Her previous roles encompassed senior web and social media specialist, as well as Digital and creative services manager. During her tenure at the college, Rouse oversaw a team of 10 in the marketing communications department, acting as an internal agency for diverse college clients.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Rouse stated, “I’m thrilled and appreciative for the opportunity to lead O’Connor Connective as president. My background in fostering relationships with different stakeholders, guiding cross-functional teams, promoting operational excellence, and advancing marketing and communications objectives for numerous clients at St. Norbert College aligns with the current needs of O’Connor Connective.”

Rouse holds a master’s degree in liberal studies and a bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College, where she focused on art and Spanish studies. In 2023, she completed a 16-month executive leadership program at the Center for Exceptional Leadership at St. Norbert College.

Recognized for her professional achievements and civic contributions in the New North Region, Rouse received a “40 Under 40” award from Insight Publications and the Exceptional Service award from St. Norbert College. She is actively involved in the Public Relations Society of America Northeast Wisconsin and serves on the board of Education in the Bonduel School District.

Bridget O’Connor, the founder of O’Connor Connective, commended Rouse’s skills, stating, “Nina has been an inspiring figure for almost two decades. Her commitment to helping organizations tell their stories, managing teams, and developing communication systems align perfectly with our values and goals at O’Connor Connective.”

Rouse’s appointment as president, alongside Executive Vice President Michelle Dejno and Vice President Lindsay Arndt, emphasizes the firm’s dedication to expanding its creative and digital capabilities. O’Connor emphasized the importance of staying ahead in the evolving landscape of strategic communication and marketing to meet the changing needs of clients in the future.
