New collaboration sees ITV partnering with Monzo in hot coral color

ITV and Monzo Join Forces to Paint the UK Hot Coral

In an exciting new collaboration, ITV and UK digital bank Monzo are teaming up to bring Monzo’s trademark hot coral color to screens across the UK. The partnership aims to showcase the unique feeling of using Monzo for all financial needs.

The collaboration kicked off on May 12th during Britain’s Got Talent, with ITV teasing the new brand ad throughout the day. Viewers witnessed ITV transforming from its usual blue to Monzo’s hot coral color, building anticipation for the 60-second brand ad. Three teaser ads appeared on ITV and STV, leading up to the premiere of the Money Never Felt like Monzo advert.

The campaign’s next phase will feature contextual ads with personalities like Joel Dommett and Mark Pougatch, tailored to key genres on ITV such as game shows, entertainment, and sport. The ads aim to illustrate how money feels better on Monzo, showcasing the contrast between stress and celebration associated with traditional banking and the Monzo experience.

In addition to the main ads, ITV will also run continuity ads during popular shows like The Chase and The Fortune Hotel, further promoting the hot coral movement. Joel Dommett expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that hot coral is now his new favorite color.

Monzo’s VP of Marketing, AJ Coyne, highlighted the significance of the campaign as Monzo launches its new brand platform, emphasizing that money feels different on Monzo compared to other banks. The goal is to invite the UK to join Monzo’s community of over 9 million users and experience the unique feeling of using hot coral.

Jason Spencer, Business Development Director at ITV, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Monzo, praising their innovative approach in engaging a broader audience. The collaboration aims to bring the “Money Never Felt Like Monzo” message to life in a memorable way during some of the nation’s biggest cultural TV moments.

Overall, the partnership between ITV and Monzo promises to showcase the benefits of using Monzo for financial needs, highlighting the unique feeling of using hot coral for banking services.
