Bank Merger in Wisconsin, Investor Group Acquires Texas Banks

Two Wisconsin-based banks have recently announced a merger deal, with the Bank of New Glarus acquiring First National Bank at Darlington. The Bank of New Glarus, with assets totaling 2 million, completed the acquisition of First National, which has assets of 4.2 million, on May 31. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

In a separate deal, an investor group has successfully purchased two banks located in Texas. Patrons Holdings had previously agreed to acquire Eden Financial, the holding company for Texas Financial Bank and Amistad Bank.
