‘Leaders meet to discuss increasing aid for Gaza’

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Erin Gore, CEO of World Central Kitchen (WCK), to discuss maximizing aid delivery to Gaza. Sheikh Mohamed commended WCK for their crucial role in providing food during humanitarian crises, especially in Gaza.

The meeting, held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, focused on strengthening collaboration between UAE entities and WCK to address urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza. They also talked about the UAE’s support for the Amalthea maritime corridor initiative, with the first ship carrying 200 tonnes of food and relief supplies already arriving.

Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the UAE’s dedication to working with WCK and other partners to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s residents and enhance humanitarian support. This partnership aims to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
