Dr. Hollenberg has an impressive background, having previously served as the physician-in-chief at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

His appointment comes after being named as the physician-in-chief of Boston Medical Center and the John Wade Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in 2022. Dr. Hollenberg is known for his work and research on thyroid disorders, with more than 100 original studies published in various journals.

Expressing his excitement for this new role, Dr. Hollenberg stated, “I’m truly honored to lead BMC and our world-class clinical, research, administrative, and operational team members as our health system reimagines the future of equitable, expert care for our patients and members.” He added, “I look forward to hearing from my colleagues across the hospital to build on their ideas and expertise to meet the health and social challenges of the patients we serve.”

In another appointment, Sarah Hatchett has been named as the new senior vice president and chief information officer of Cleveland Clinic. Hatchett brings over 20 years of experience in information technology and healthcare leadership to her new role. She has previously held leadership positions at NYC Health + Hospitals, Sutter Health, and Epic.

Meanwhile, Gabe Clements has been appointed as the CEO of Lee’s Summit Medical Center in Missouri. Clements, who has served as the chief operating officer of the medical center for four years, expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, emphasizing the hospital’s focus on delivering high-quality patient care and fostering a culture of collaboration.

Lastly, John Forester has been appointed as the interim president of two hospitals within the WVU Health System, namely WVU Medicine Summersville Regional Medical Center and Braxton County Memorial Hospital. Beginning July 1, Forester will take on this new role while continuing to serve as a vice president at United Hospital Center and the CEO of United Physicians Care, Inc. He brings a wealth of experience in healthcare leadership, previously holding leadership positions with HealthSouth before joining the WVU Health System in 2008.
