“Business Hub Elevating Dayton’s Economic Environment”

A strong partnership between the Entrepreneurs’ Center and the University of Dayton is having a significant impact on the commercial landscape in Dayton. This collaboration is not only fueling business growth but also providing valuable educational experiences for students, creating a space for budding entrepreneurs to innovate and develop their business concepts.

One local businessman, Luis Estevez, credits this partnership for his company’s growth, particularly in water treatment technology. Under the leadership of Scott Koorndyk since 2015, the Entrepreneurs’ Center has expanded and now serves a larger client base in Ohio, positioning itself as a key player in the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The collaboration between the Entrepreneurs’ Center and the University of Dayton has played a vital role in revitalizing downtown Dayton. The center, which manages space for over 140 member organizations and over 600 staff, fosters innovation and growth among a wide range of companies, from tech startups to nonprofits.

Through programs and workshops aimed at promoting sustainable development among businesses, the center is significantly contributing to downtown Dayton’s economic rejuvenation. The Hub, a joint endeavor between the center and the university, is bridging the gap between education and business pursuits by offering classes to students and involving local companies in consultations.

With a focus on helping businesses become self-sufficient within 3-5 years, the Entrepreneurs’ Center is on track to transform the entrepreneurial scene in Dayton. They provide essential support such as capital funding, strategic business advice, and mentorship programs, attracting startups looking to innovate in various industries.

With Koorndyk’s wealth of experience, the Entrepreneurs’ Center is poised to continue shaping Dayton’s vibrant and dynamic entrepreneurial future, helping businesses thrive and make their mark in the region.
