Completion of Expansion at Marina Bay Sands with New 4th Tower Expected by July 2029

Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is pushing forward with its ambitious expansion plans, set to kick off full-scale construction by July 2025. The expansion project includes the construction of a fourth tower and a state-of-the-art 15,000-seat entertainment arena, with a targeted completion date of July 2029. This multi-billion-dollar project is currently undergoing final design enhancements to ensure a seamless and impressive addition to the existing complex.

In a recent announcement on April 5, MBS revealed the latest visual renderings of the expansion project, showcasing the impressive entertainment arena nestled between the new tower and the existing structures. The arena is expected to attract top entertainers from across Asia and around the world, offering a more welcoming facade than previous designs. Designed by renowned Safdie Architects, the firm responsible for the original MBS structure, the expansion will also include a luxurious hotel tower with a sky roof, additional premium event space for meetings, conferences, and exhibitions, as well as new dining, beverage, and nightlife options.

Patrick Dumont, President and Chief Operating Officer of MBS’s parent company, Las Vegas Sands, highlighted the significance of the project in raising the standards of hospitality, drawing global entertainment events, and solidifying Singapore’s reputation as a premier MICE destination. This expansion initiative complements a separate .75 billion reinvestment in MBS’s existing facilities, aimed at enhancing guest experiences and keeping the resort at the forefront of luxury hospitality.

Already, Towers 1 and 2 have undergone refurbishments, offering guests new dining choices and luxury amenities tailored to discerning travelers. The focus will now shift to Tower 3, the lobby, and Sands SkyPark, where visitors can look forward to premium dining and retail options, as well as a revamped lobby area and other exciting enhancements. With these developments, Marina Bay Sands is set to redefine luxury hospitality in the region and beyond.
