From Setback to Celebration: You’re Invited to Value World’s Jensen Ribbon Cutting

PRWire:

[Houston, TX] — Value Village Texas is excited to announce the refresh and official rebrand of its Jensen location at 9500 Jensen Drive as part of its company-wide transformation to Value World. Known for unbeatable thrift finds and a strong commitment to sustainability, the Jensen store has received a facelift inside and out—and now proudly reflects the updated Value World identity. Shoppers can expect an enhanced experience, with the same friendly team and affordable pricing they’ve always loved.

To mark the occasion, a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Houston Lake Chamber of Commerce will take place this Thursday, July 10th at 11:00 AM outside the store. Customers, community members, and local leaders are invited to stop by, enjoy light refreshments, and see the store’s new look in action.

“This celebration reflects the care and effort we’ve invested in our stores and our community,” said Tia Winfield, co-owner of Value World. “As a family-owned business, we’re proud to be refreshing our Houston locations while continuing to offer a sustainable and affordable way to shop.”

What’s New at the Jensen Store:

  • Updated interior layout, fresh signage, and a clean, modern feel that aligns with the Value World brand.
  • VIP Club members will earn Double Cash-Back Points on all purchases all day Thursday, July 10th. VIP Membership is free and includes cashback rewards, exclusive offers, and early access to promotions.
  • Ongoing commitment to sustainability, local partnerships, and keeping gently used goods out of landfills.

The Jensen store is one of six Value World locations currently operating in the Houston area and is the only one with its very own secondhand furniture showroom. While the Gessner store is temporarily closed due to a recent fire—currently under investigation by the Houston Arson Department—Value World remains deeply committed to the Houston community and looks forward to welcoming shoppers at Jensen and the other nearby locations.

Come celebrate with us at the newly refreshed Jensen store—where thrift meets purpose, and every purchase supports sustainability, family-owned business, and community connection. For more information, visit ValueWorld.com.

ABOUT VALUE WORLD: Founded in 1955, Value World began with a single store in Cleveland and a simple mission: serve the community by offering affordable, gently used items in a clean, welcoming environment. Value World is dedicated to sustainability, affordability, and giving back—values that have guided the brand for nearly 70 years.
