Jeep is set to unveil a new high-performance midsize electric SUV on May 30. This new addition to the brand is designed for paved roads, targeting enthusiasts who have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S since 2022.
The Wagoneer S is one of two Jeep electric vehicles (EVs) on the horizon, with the Recon being the other option for those looking for a more traditional off-roading experience. The Recon may even come with a hybrid powertrain option, catering to a wider range of consumers.
While the Wagoneer S is expected to have some off-road capabilities typical of a Jeep, it leans more towards being an electric counterpart to the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk than its Wrangler cousin. Jeep has teased impressive specs for the Wagoneer S, promising around 600 horsepower and a zero-to-60 time of 3.5 seconds.
In a recent video release, the company showcased the new EV outrunning a Tesla Model Y Performance, emphasizing a range of over 300 miles. With a May 30 reveal date set, more details about the Wagoneer S will soon be unveiled, heightening anticipation among Jeep enthusiasts and electric vehicle fans alike.
