‘Sidus Space Picks up LizzieSat Signals’

Sidus Space, Inc. has successfully received multiple signals from its LizzieSat satellite following its launch and deployment to low Earth orbit as part of SpaceX’s Transporter-10 Rideshare mission on March 4, 2024, from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

The mission, which can be replayed on SpaceX’s website, showed the deploy of LizzieSat approximately 1 hour and 18 minutes after launch. The Sidus team is actively monitoring communications with the satellite using its FCC approved prime radio frequency from its operations center in Merritt Island, Florida.

LizzieSat, a microsatellite roughly the size of a mini-refrigerator weighing 275 pounds, is capable of supporting various missions and customers from a single platform. Two more LizzieSat satellites are set to launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station later this year. These upcoming satellites will deliver tailored intelligence solutions for industries such as defense, agriculture, maritime, and oil and gas.
