‘Splitcoin Mobile App Introduces Manual Seed Phrase Encryption to Millions’

Splitcoin Inc. has taken a significant stride in cryptocurrency self-custody today. The company has introduced a revolutionary self-custody solution that enables cryptocurrency users to encrypt their seed phrases manually through its mobile application and NFC-enabled coins. The Splitcoin app is now available for download in the United States on both Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS. Users can purchase packs of Splitcoins that are compatible with the mobile app from the official website.

With Splitcoin, users can create a secure vault for their seed phrase by encrypting it manually with a unique auto-scrolling codebook. This codebook is unlocked by a specialized vault key that is split and stored across a series of NFC-enabled physical coins or QR codes. To retrieve their seed phrase, users simply need to scan their coins using the mobile app and enter their password to unlock the vault. This allows them to decrypt their seed phrase manually using the codebook.

One of the key features of the Splitcoin app is that it never requests or stores a user’s seed phrase. It operates offline on a smartphone and does not write or store any data to online locations such as cloud services or databases. This ensures that a user’s seed phrase remains fully under their control.

Additionally, Splitcoin offers users the option to create backups or reduce their reliance on Splitcoin products. The app can export a set of Splitcoins as QR codes, which can be scanned during the open vault process. Users can also export a codebook as a PDF for printing or digital storage. This provides users with sovereignty over their storage strategy, as they can decrypt their encrypted seed phrase with the codebook without needing to use the Splitcoin app again.

For those interested in trying out the Splitcoin app, a demo vault can be created for free by downloading the app from the official website. For further information, interviews, or comments, please contact Freddie Ranieri, Founder of Splitcoin Inc. via email.

Their emphasis on intuitive design and user privacy is reshaping how cryptocurrency assets are secured and managed.
