2024 Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX eligible for ,500 EV tax credits due to GM collaboration

Honda’s Prologue and Acura ZDX have been granted full ,500 EV tax credits, all thanks to General Motors (GM). The Prologue, closely linked with Chevy’s Blazer and produced at the same GM facility in Mexico, utilizes General Motors’ Ultium architecture and battery technology.

Honda’s Prologue collection consists of five distinct configurations, featuring three trim levels (EX, Touring, and Elite) and two powertrain options. The entry-level single-motor, two-wheel drive EX starts at ,400, which translates to ,295 after factoring in the tax credits. This model delivers 212 horsepower, can travel up to 296 miles on a single charge, and offers an attractive option for electric vehicle enthusiasts.

For those seeking more power and range, the dual-motor EX is priced at ,400 (,900 net after credits), delivering 288 horsepower and covering a distance of 281 miles before needing a recharge. The top-tier Elite model starts at ,900 but comes down to ,400 after tax credits. This flagship variant is only available in bi-motor configuration and boasts a range of 273 miles.

With these additions qualifying for the significant EV tax credits, consumers have added incentive to consider these models from Honda and Acura. These vehicles represent a significant step forward in the electrification of the automotive industry, offering environmentally friendly options with impressive performance capabilities.
