AdventHealth Hendersonville recently announced the recipients of the 2024 Nurses Week Awards, honoring the dedication and excellence of its nursing team. These awards recognize the hard work and commitment of these healthcare professionals in upholding AdventHealth’s Service Standards.
Maureen Dzialo, MS, RN, Chief Nursing Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville, expressed excitement in recognizing the nurses and support team members for their exceptional care for patients and each other. The Nurses Week Awards, created with the help of nursing leaders, include categories such as Nursing Leadership, New Licensed Nurse of the Year, Nursing Service Excellence, Friend of Nursing, Nursing Assistant of the Year, Mentoring Excellence, Improvement in Quality Outcomes, Relationship Based Care, and Team Award.
Each award highlights different qualities and contributions, such as leadership, patient care, teamwork, professionalism, mentoring, improvement of quality and safety outcomes, and delivery of quality care with respect for each individual’s dignity. The winners were surprised during Nurses Week, with Dzialo mentioning the joy of witnessing the pride and honor on their faces.
