‘Asian Flavors Infused into Sauces and Seasoning Mixes’

Raymond Noh, the visionary behind Noh Foods, has transformed a small family business into a global food brand over the past few decades. Noh Foods, founded over 60 years ago, specializes in creating unique flavors inspired by Asian and global cuisines. Their popular products include Chinese char siu, Hawaiian iced tea, Korean kalbi mix, and kālua salt flavoring.

The company’s origin story dates back to 1963 when Edwin and Miriam Noh opened the first Korean restaurant in Honolulu. Seeking to make kimchi preparation easier, they developed a ready-to-use kimchi mix, kickstarting their journey into the grocery business. Their product line expanded to include a variety of sauces, such as sweet and sour spareribs, teriyaki, and adobo, catering to local tastes.

In 1983, Raymond Noh took over Noh Foods and expanded its operations by establishing an office and warehouse in Los Angeles. Despite initially focusing on sales in Hawaii, the company has expanded its reach globally, with Hawaii now accounting for only 20% of sales. Noh Foods offers customized products for retail consumers and food-service clients, serving a diverse customer base across North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific.

With plans to venture into new product categories, Noh Foods is set to launch Noh Hawaiian Surf Snax, including Thin & Crispy Beef Jerky Chips flavored with popular sauces like Korean Barbecue (kalbi) and Chinese Barbecue (char siu). The company continues to innovate and expand its presence, recently connecting with distributors in Miami to introduce their products to grocery chains in the Caribbean islands.

As Noh Foods continues to grow, Raymond Noh’s commitment to quality and creativity has solidified the company’s position as a leader in the global food industry.
