‘bolttech Aims for Expansion in the Middle East after Collaboration with stc Group’

International insurtech company bolttech is expanding into the Middle East through a new partnership with stc Group, a telecommunications company leading digital transformation in the region.

Under this collaboration, bolttech will offer stc’s customers new embedded device protection options through a technology-driven experience. stc Group provides a wide range of services including digital infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), digital payments, digital media, and digital entertainment through its 13 subsidiaries across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.

Aligned with stc Group’s ‘DARE 2.0’ strategy to become a top digital leader, bolttech and stc are looking to expand the partnership to provide IoT-enabled solutions beyond mobile devices. This expansion could include protection for home appliances, health electronics, and cyber assets.

Rob Schimek, group chief executive officer at bolttech, praised stc Group as an ambitious digital leader dedicated to offering innovative solutions. He expressed excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to help stc Group customers safeguard their valuable devices for a seamless digital lifestyle.

In late 2023, bolttech acquired Digital Care, an embedded protection company based in Poland, which allowed them to expand into four new markets in EMEA – Poland, Croatia, Lithuania, and South Africa. This move further solidified bolttech’s global presence and paved the way for its entry into the Middle East through the partnership with stc Group.
