‘Grant of million given to RICE to aid small businesses’

Comcast is expanding its reach beyond cable and internet services to support small businesses through its Comcast RISE program. This initiative is focused on fostering economic growth and helping communities thrive by providing resources and support to small businesses.

Recently, Mike McArdle, Comcast’s big south region senior vice president, announced at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs in Atlanta that Comcast RISE will be offering small businesses in the area business consultation services, education resources, monetary grants, and creative production, media, and technology makeovers. In addition, CEO Jay Bailey received a generous million donation from Comcast to further enhance RICE’s digital tools and support small businesses in the city.

Entrepreneurs in Atlanta can apply for assistance through Comcast RISE by visiting www.comcastrise.com. Pinky Cole, CEO of Slutty Vegan and Bar Vegan, spoke at the event and emphasized the importance of programs like Comcast RISE in helping small businesses achieve their goals and contribute to the community’s growth.

The application period for Comcast RISE will run from May 1 to May 31, with grants set to be awarded in August 2024. Interested business owners can access the application online at www.comcastrise.com. This program aims to provide the necessary tools and support for small businesses in Atlanta to thrive and bridge the gap to success.
