Insurtech Slice Expands General Liability Insurance for Contractors with Philadelphia Insurance Support

Slice Labs Inc., a New York-based insurtech specializing in on-demand insurance platforms, has expanded its reach to seven additional states and the District of Columbia with its contractors general liability insurance product for small businesses. This expansion allows businesses in these regions to access coverage provided through a partnership with Philadelphia Insurance (PHLY).

The product, now available in 47 states, excluding Kentucky, Louisiana, and New York, offers more than 60 class codes to agents. Slice’s CEO, Tim Attia, highlighted the partnership with PHLY, emphasizing their commitment to providing high-quality coverage to customers. The collaboration with PHLY, known for its AM Best A++ rating for financial strength and stability, aims to offer flexible payment options, including monthly installments, to cater to the financial needs of small businesses.

Scott Bayer, senior vice president of PHLY’s E&S Insurance Solutions, expressed excitement about extending the partnership with Slice to empower small contractors nationwide with their AM Best A++ rated insurance product. Together, the companies are leveraging technology to streamline insurance processes, ensuring efficient and reliable coverage for small businesses.

In a previous development from November 2023, Slice and PHLY had expanded their contractors general liability offering to 39 states. Founded in 2015, Slice is dedicated to distributing insurers’ and reinsurers’ on-demand products through major distribution platforms.

With a focus on topics like InsurTech, Tech, and Contractors, Slice Labs continues to make strides in providing innovative insurance solutions to meet the evolving needs of small businesses.
