Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS) has recently welcomed medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Jacob L. Barish, MD, to their team. Dr. Barish will be providing care to patients at various FCS locations in central Florida, including the FCS Lake Nona Cancer Center in Orlando, the FCS Kissimmee clinic in Kissimmee, and the FCS Oviedo Cancer Center in Oviedo.
Nathan H. Walcker, FCS Chief Executive Officer, expressed his enthusiasm about Dr. Barish joining the practice and highlighted the expanded services he will offer to patients in the region.
Dr. Barish obtained his medical degree from the University of Florida at Gainesville and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He also underwent fellowship training in hematology and oncology at Orlando Health and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Barish is board-certified in internal medicine and has held leadership roles throughout his medical career.
