SkyTeam and SAS, the flag carrier of Scandinavia, have officially signed an Alliance Adherence Agreement (AAA), paving the way for SAS to join the global airline alliance on 1 September 2024. This partnership marks a significant milestone in SAS’ integration into SkyTeam, promising a seamless transition for customers.

Starting September 1, 2024, SAS EuroBonus members will enjoy a range of benefits across most SkyTeam airlines. Silver members will be recognized as SkyTeam Elite level, while Gold and Diamond members will be upgraded to Elite Plus status. These perks include access to over 750 airport lounges and SkyPriority services at eight key airport touchpoints, ensuring a more convenient and elevated travel experience.

Customers of SAS will benefit from enhanced connectivity through SkyTeam’s extensive network of over 1,060 destinations, including popular and previously underserved cities in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The collaboration between SkyTeam and SAS is built on a shared commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences through quality products, innovation, and dedicated service.

Andrés Conesa, SkyTeam Chairman, expressed excitement about the alignment between SAS and SkyTeam in delivering an integrated and responsible travel experience.
