‘Two More Seasons of ‘The Floor’ Ordered by Fox’

Fox has announced that it will be bringing back the hit game show “The Floor” for two more cycles in the 2024-25 season. Hosted by Rob Lowe, the show has been renewed for two additional seasons and Fox has also signed a first-look deal with Lowe to develop unscripted projects.

The decision to renew the show comes on the heels of its success during the previous season. “The Floor” was one of the top-performing shows on the network, attracting an average of 3.47 million viewers through linear viewing and reaching 5.5 million viewers when including streaming and digital platforms.

Fox’s network president, Michael Thorn, expressed excitement about the renewal, stating, “Fans loved the first season of ‘The Floor’ so much that we’ve ordered two more seasons of this breakthrough game show, with plans already underway to make our epic battle of the brains even bigger and bolder.” Thorn also praised Lowe’s role as host, highlighting the anticipation from viewers and competitors for his return.

In addition to hosting “The Floor,” Lowe is set to return as the lead in the scripted drama “911: Lone Star” for the upcoming season. The first-look deal between Lowe and Fox will see the development of new unscripted projects for the network, produced by Fox Alternative Entertainment.

Lowe expressed his enthusiasm for the continued success of “The Floor” and the opportunity to collaborate with Fox on new projects. The format of “The Floor” is owned by Talpa, with production handled by Eureka Productions and BiggerStage. Executive producers include John de Mol, Mark van Achterberg, Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, Sean O’Riordan, Shane Byrneserve, and showrunner Anthony Carbone, with Lowe serving as producer.
