Alliance formed for unified parking and charging system.

Three US-based companies have joined forces to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) charging experience for drivers. EV Connect, Flash, and Qmerit have announced a partnership to streamline the process of reserving parking spaces and charging stations for EV drivers, while also simplifying management for infrastructure owners and operators.

Through this collaboration, EV drivers will have access to Flash’s extensive network of over 10,000 parking assets, allowing them to easily locate, reserve, access, and pay for charging services offered by the EV Connect network, and vice versa. This integrated approach enables drivers to utilize a single platform and payment method for all their parking and charging needs.

EV Connect will take charge of managing and providing customer service for asset owners and operators, while Qmerit will handle installation and maintenance support. The trio plans to secure new agreements with major operators in the hospitality, events, and mixed-use sectors within the next year. They will also reveal details about the availability of the unified parking and charging system to the public.

Dan Sharplin, CEO of Flash, emphasized the importance of private parking facilities in meeting the expectations of EV drivers as the industry moves towards widespread EV adoption. He highlighted the necessity of collaborative efforts to ensure a seamless transition to EVs in the coming years.

With the aim of setting a new standard for the EV charging experience, this partnership between EV Connect, Flash, and Qmerit signifies a step towards a more efficient and user-friendly EV infrastructure.
