US and Canada Team Announced by Mediapro Studio

The Mediapro Studio US / Canada, the North American business unit, has recently established its Los Angeles-based leadership team with key new hires. Erika Kennair has been appointed as Head of Scripted Content, while Pam Healey is the new Head of Unscripted Content. These two executives will report to Juan (JC) Acosta, the Head of The Mediapro Studio US / Canada. Kennair and Healey will be responsible for leading the development slate of both fiction and non-fiction television for the division, as well as expanding the company’s English-language presence in LA’s creative landscape.

To support the company’s upcoming autumn 2024 slate, Acosta has also assembled his North American leadership team with the addition of Ari Tan as Head of Strategy and Operations and Robert Haiat as Head of Commercial in LA. Furthermore, Leslie Cohen, Head of Global Acquisitions, and Juan Pablo Santos, SVP Content and Business Development, based in New York, have joined the new leadership team.

These strategic moves align with CEO Laura Fernández Espeso’s vision of enhancing The Mediapro Studio’s global content offerings in various genres of English-language content. This includes scripted series, non-scripted programming, reality shows, documentaries, and feature films. The company’s relocation to LA for its headquarters and the broader international presence of its parent company, Mediapro, with offices in 29 countries, highlight a commitment to expanding its global reach.

Juan Acosta expressed his excitement for the new leadership team, praising their experience, creativity, expertise, and industry connections. He believes that this dynamic team will drive the success of The Mediapro Studio US / Canada and deliver exceptional content to partners and audiences.

In her role as Head of Scripted Content, Erika Kennair will oversee the creative development and production of scripted content across all genres. She aims to build on the existing creative foundation laid out by Laura Fernández Espeso and expand the company’s legacy in the US and Canada.

Pam Healey, the new Head of Unscripted Content, will focus on developing and producing unscripted content, including entertainment formats and docuseries. She looks forward to collaborating with the talented team at The Mediapro Studio to deliver successful content to the US market. Healey is excited to work with industry leaders like Laura and JC to replicate the global success of The Mediapro Studio.
